NASCO Town
NASCO Town is a major real estate development project in Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria. Its mission is to create a community for the 21st century, offering the ultimate environment to live, work, play and shop. The total land area measures approximately 720 acres, with an authorisation to cover 5,200,000 sqm in the development of residential, commercial and industrial areas. The waterfront project will be built in several phases, and will include major hotels, shopping malls, educational institutions, hospitals with physician residences, an international trade fair complex, and an offshore transit zone and harbour. In April 2010, an agreement to develop the grand project was concluded between NASCO Town and the Government of a Gulf State, which currently has real estate investments in 28 countries, valued at approximately USD $82 billion. They appointed an international team of experts who spent over 20 months analysing and ascertaining the viability of the new investment. The outcome of the feasibility study confirmed the great market potential of the project, as well as the prospects for extremely high returns on investment.
